The Project

This project involved the building of a new single storey portal frame extension to an existing Gymnasium incorporating a weights area, resistance machines and spin studio.

Our role was to design and install the electrical and mechanical services: Lighting / Emergency lighting, Fire Alarm PA System, TV Installations, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Ductwork, BMS (Building Management System) Controls etc.

The Solution

Working in close partnership with City of York Council M&E engineers to produce detailed drawings, schedules of equipment and materials, electrical circuit schedules, design risk assessments, Calculations and thermal modelling to produce a complete package.

This project was designed to meet a minimum BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) "Excellent standard, within affordability criteria"
