This quick response time was a huge factor in completing electrical works at Kensington Aldridge Academy, at the base of the Grenfell Tower, London.

Kensington Aldridge Academy is a secondary school located at the base of the Grenfell Tower, and was damaged in the tragic fire in June last year. When a fully functional replacement school had to be built in just 9 weeks, John Wright Electrical and Mechanical Services Ltd were one of the only British companies who could respond so quickly to such a large task.

We helped provide power to the whole site, handling the electrical mains distribution for each building throughout the replacement school. We installed general power across the whole site, including complete lighting and fire alarm solutions. Different areas of the school had their own bespoke electrical requirements, like the science laboratories, kitchen and dining hall areas. We also installed data cabling to the IT department. Ensuring the temporary replacement school was functionally identical to Kensington Aldridge Academy was vital to ensure the students had a familiar learning environment.
