Our expert team have worked with a range of national and international businesses, such as the University of York, the National Railway Museum and English Heritage, to name a few. We also provide electrical installations and services to a range of industrial sectors across the country.

We completed a challenging project for English Heritage, who care for over 400 historical buildings, monuments and sites around England. Our project was at Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire, where we completed electrical installations in the Visitor Centre and to the Abbey itself.

We installed and supplied all general power and data throughout the building for the retail area of the Visitor Centre. We also installed lighting, which was designed to enhance the oak slatted ceilings. The installation included recessed high-level general and emergency lighting, as well as feature lighting. We utilised the building structure and foundations to install Lightning Protection to the building, and installed CCTV, fire alarms, intruder alarms and heating controls.

Our team also installed lighting to the exterior of the Abbey itself. Located on the headland, Whitby Abbey can be seen for miles around, so choosing the correct lamp colour to enhance the historic stonework was a challenge in itself, and critical to this part of the installation. We used a combination of Metal Halide and Son lamps to achieve the correct finish for the Abbey. Read more about the project on our Case Study page.
